Theatre Five (aka Theater-Five or Theatre 5) was a radio drama series, presented by ABC, between 1964 and 1965. The series used an anthology format, presented a number of short (20-minute) radio plays, across a number of genres, a number of which reflected topical issues contemporary with its airing. a radio series whose title was derived from the fact that it was aired everyday at 5pm, was a 20-minute drama anthology based on short stories or stories from daily newspaper. Heard on-air in the 1960s, it was ABC’s attempt to revive radio drama, so everything in the show was top notch-- the production, director, sound effects, voice talents, etc. The show had Fred Foy as its host.
